Grace Christian School is accredited by ACSI and Congnia.

What is Accredited Christian Education?

An accredited Christian school ensures the faculty and staff are equipped to address and shape the child’s academic, spiritual, and worldview skills. It is an education that takes seriously the responsibility to develop the whole child under eight specific categories.

Based on a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria, the accreditation process examines the whole institution — its policies, programs, practices, learning conditions, and cultural context — to determine how well the parts work together to carry out the institution’s vision and meet the needs of every learner. Accreditation isn’t about passing a one-time inspection. Rather, accreditation recognizes education providers that demonstrate and sustain their commitments to continuous improvement and better learner outcomes.

The Accreditation Bodies

Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)

Association of Christian Schools International

ACSI is a leading international organization that promotes Christian education and provides training and resources to Christian schools and Christian educators. ACSI’s mission is to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide as they prepare students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

ACSI assists, encourages and develops Christian schools that contribute to the public good through effective teaching and learning and that are biblically sound, academically rigorous, socially engaged, and culturally relevant; and educators who embody a biblical worldview, engage in transformational teaching and disciplining, and embrace personal and professional growth.

Cognia Accreditation & Certification

Standards of Accreditation

Vision & Purpose

GCS has a clear vision and a defining purpose for the school.

The mission of Grace Christian School is to equip students from a Christian worldview to reach their God-given potential through excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts and technology.

Our core values are to:

  • LOVE people like Jesus
  • LEAD people to Jesus
  • TEACH people about Jesus
  • TRAIN people to love, lead and teach others about Jesus
  • SEND people out to be disciples of Jesus.

GCS has defined expected student outcomes in the areas of Spiritual Formation, Scholarly Education, and Societal Application.

Leadership & Operations

A third party holds our leaders accountable for the quality and standard of our facilities, staffing, academics, stewardship and the management of our fiscal resources.

A Servant School

From the time a family begins the admissions process through every point of contact thereafter, our goal is to act with a servant’s heart. Both internally and externally Grace Christian School is known for its good.

Faculty & Staff

Our goal is to select quality Christian faculty and staff, who have a heart for Jesus and education. In order to attract the absolute best teachers to GCS, salaries and benefit packages are competitive with the surrounding public and private schools. GCS continues to increase our master’s level educators each year, and teachers receive annual professional development and training, a requirement under the ACSI guidelines.

Academics

Instruction for all classes is organized with accountability for lessons and biblical integration, with students starting the day in Bible class. Annual testing is conducted in a manner to reveal true assessment of knowledge, understanding and wisdom, and resources are available for children with specific learning challenges. Growing and diverse elective options provide students opportunities to pursue and develop their unique interests. College dual enrollment offers high school students the ability to earn college credits in classes taught by GCS staff and upheld to our values and beliefs. Transferable credits are earned through accredited Southeastern College in Wake Forest.

Student Care

GCS has extensive security systems in place. The Lee County Sheriff’s Department has a presence on our campus multiple times daily. Doors are locked and access is gained using individually coded fobs. Guest check-in is mandatory and a background check is conducted on all volunteers. Facilities are well maintained with space to accommodate the number of students enrolled.

Kingdom Impact

Our students consistently demonstrate their love for God, growth in His Word and ability to reflect Jesus to the world. Our faculty and staff work to ensure students at Grace don’t just know about Jesus, but come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.

Plan for the Future Grace

Grace Christian School is committed to continuously improving and expanding our services, facilities, and programs according to God’s leading and the needs of our community.
