We value the opportunities for our students to grow in extracurricular areas and strive to provide something for every student.
Many of our clubs are offered as classes to provide valuable and structured learning and growth opportunities during the regular school day. Check out our course descriptions to learn more.
GCS High School students have the opportunity to serve in leadership through the Student Government Association. Officers are elected to serve on the Executive Council. Each class elects students to represent their class on the Council. Serving as a Student Government Officer is the highest student leadership position at Grace Christian High School, therefore, each officer is expected to exemplify Christ-like leadership and service in scholastic endeavors, personal conduct, school activities, and service in the execution of the office he/she is elected to serve.
Students of all ages get a time to shine at GCS! We host bi-annual performances for both elementary and upper schools where students have opportunities to perform, design sets and run sound and production. Group roles are assigned for all elementary students, with special roles available by audition for elementary, middle and high school students. Our upper level students advance their skills in an elective Theatre Class.
FFA develops students’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success. FFA prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.
Grace Christian School is an active chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) for grades 10-12, recognizing students with scholarly achievement, who are exemplary in their service, leadership, and character. The NHS affords students opportunity and tools for their future including scholarships, conferences, and college and career readiness resources. Learn more about NHS at Grace.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is an interdenominational Christian sports ministry impacting the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of Christian athletes and coaches. GCS Athletes are automatically members of FCA as part of our effort to grow our students both in faith and in sport. FCA offers events and resources that speak directly to students’ lives as a competitor — to build athletic skills and strengthen their faith.
Our Yearbook Staff is the recorder of memories for GCS. God’s faithfulness is shown over the years, and yearbooks allow students to reflect on God’s goodness each year. The Israelites placed stones to remember God’s faithfulness and power in their lives. (Joshua 4:1-9) Yearbooks are one example of our modern “stones.” Yearbook is offered as a high school elective during both semesters and provides students with opportunities to build skills for numerous career fields. Learn more about the GCS Yearbook Course.
“The Crusader” is our newsletter for students by students — it’s a platform for what matters to them most. The newsletter features announcements, upcoming events, sports results, service projects, student initiatives, student surveys and more! Our student newsletter is produced weekly by students in the GCS Journalism Course. The course is offered during both semesters as an elective credit and gives students real-life experience in the world of communications.
