Offered in fall, winter and spring sessions, our after school camps are available exclusively to students enrolled at Grace Christian School and Grace Christian Child Development Center (K3 & K4). These enrichment programs provide avenues for our students to explore activities and interests outside of the classroom.

Through engaging winter-themed activities and auditory, visual, and kinesthetic drills, Kindergarten students in this camp will get extra opportunities to continue their learning. Join us for another round of catch up camp fun Winter Edition!” This session will also be paired with intense phonic lessons using the Orton Gillingham methodology. This approach focuses on phonological awareness, sound identification, decoding/encoding, vocabulary and fluency. Students will learn to become better readers through multi-sensory experiences and direct instruction. Each week, we will apply our reading instruction to different polar animals. We will focus on main ideas and details found within the text while at the same time learning how to answer comprehension questions in a complete sentence. Give your child the extra mid-year boost they need to keep progressing on grade level skills.

Looking for an opportunity to supplement foundational math skills? In Math camp, we will work on skills like time, money, calendars, word problems and place value while also sharpening our accuracy of basic addition and subtraction facts. Understanding numbers and building number knowledge will aid in your child’s math application. Helping students love numbers and understand basic Math is the goal and making it fun just adds to their learning and confidence.

Students will learn and practice advanced math strategies (strengthening their mental math ability), as well as learning beginning algebra through the use of manipulatives. Let’s do Spanish together! Patricia Mikesell our Elementary Spanish teacher, is ready to bring her experience to your child’s world of language! Her El Salvador roots and love for family will give the students a real immersion experience! This camp will be great for students that are English second language learners as well as those who want to continue building Native Spanish communication skills. Immersion in language offers an authentic learning experience. Activities revolving around crafting, songs, and reading will enhance this opportunity for children!

Get those voices ready and shake out those pom-poms, because CHEER CAMP is on the rise! Are you ready to learn all the basics of cheerleading, including motions, jumps, stunts, routines and even dance moves? Together we will learn the importance of team bonding, building trust and confidence, listening to our leaders, working together as a team and developing leadership skills. The little Crusader cheerleaders will take their skills to the court and cheer for some home Crusader basketball games (dates and more info to come).

Our after school enrichment camps vary by season, and new camps are often developed each year! Here’s a full line-up of the camps we offer:

  • Catch Up Camp: Catch Up Camp gives your child the extra boost to be successful in their academics by providing specialized, small group instruction.
  • ART Studio: Join us for Crusader Art Studio! These classes take students to the next level with their art skills. Students enjoy projects that expand their creativity while working with various art mediums (acrylic, canvas, clay and more!) and creating projects that serve as outreach projects in our community.
  • Game Strategy Skills: Game Strategy is more than a board game club! We take a skills-based approach to classic board games such as CLUE, RISK & SETTLERS OF CATAN. We not only learn how to play the game but also how to win it!
  • Graceful Toes Ballet Program: We introduce and expose students to the classical foundation and techniques associated with ballet and also inspire them to become passionate about the arts.
  • Shouting Saders Cheer: Our Shouting Saders learn proper cheer stance, hand positions, formations, routines, stunts and cheers all while cheering on the sidelines at some of our athletic events.
  • Little Hoopers Basketball: Students learn the fundamentals of basketball in a safe and enjoyable environment. Players work to better their skill set on the court but also build confidence off the court. The players work to strengthen their mentality while boosting their confidence to become a more skilled player.
  • Baseball Clinics: Campers improve their game! Skills such as fielding, hitting, base running, stance and team playing are taught, in addition to building your camper’s confidence and teaching them good sportsmanship.
  • Soccer Camp: Ideal for players of all levels looking to take their game to the next level in a fun and encouraging environment. Players practice all elements of soccer including passing, dribbling, communication, shooting, defending, teamwork and strategy. Players build confidence and become a more skilled player.
  • Sader Gymnastics Squad: Students learn the basics of floor work, beam, bars and vault. Our little gymnasts learn skills through obstacle courses, games and team building activities.
  • Softball Hitting Clinics: Join Coach Cannaday and learn the fundamentals of hitting and strategies to improve your offensive game.
  • STEM: Hands on fun working with robots and other STEM focused activities. Students utilize technology and other resources to learn the beginning basics of coding, engineering and physics.
