Middle and High School students can be a part of the GCS Student Worship Team, leading their peers in worship during chapel and building valuable experience.

Developing Talent

Building on skills developed in our Elementary Music and Elementary Choir programs, students gain valuable singing experience on our Student Worship Team. Students have the opportunity of vocal, instrumental, or production areas of worship. Our curriculum is based on the songs and theme of the chapel service. The Student Worship Team serves weekly in our student chapel services.

Developing Spiritual Leaders

Student Worship not only requires students to work as a team, but also teaches them to lead others in worship. The Student Worship Team meets twice weekly in preparation to lead during a weekly student chapel service. The importance of leading corporate worship in a school environment is demonstrated through our worship leaders. This is such a huge spiritual responsibility for anyone, especially for students. Students leading students is the goal… allowing God to use these student lead chapel and bring souls to Himself is the higher honor.

Applications & Auditions

The Student Worship Team has an application process at the beginning of each semester, but students may audition at any time during the year. The team is selected based upon each students’ testimony, character and skill. Applications are reviewed by the Administration and the Music & Performing Arts faculty.
