Job Overview

The Merchandise Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school store and for managing Shopify for all GCS departments’ activities and reports.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Seek to role model in attitude, speech, and action a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ
  • Design school spirit wear
  • Maintain uniform and spirit wear inventory and develops and manages an inventory tracking system
  • Monitors demand and analyzes product levels to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
  • Develops business relationships with suppliers
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics
  • Regularly analyze and follow up on Sales & Profit KPIs and take actions accordingly to maximize results
  • Look for opportunities to partner with school events to maximize product exposure
  • Manage the online storefront (product posting, pricing, order tracking, etc.)
  • Coordinate volunteer order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Assist customers with exchanges, refunds and order issues.
  • Oversee all Merchandise events (ex. Open house, pre-sale orders)
  • Coordinate with Concessions all merchandise needs
  • Organize merchandise storage (on campus and at the Annex) and coordinate deliveries to the Annex.
  • Maintain stock for in office merchandise for on campus sales
  • Create opportunities to meet fundraising goals through merchandise sales
  • Create products, groups, invoices, and tags on Shopify for all GCS Departments
  • Run Shopify reports and share with appropriate department manager, as needed

Qualifications

  • Committed Christ-follower
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating Shopify
  • Previous retail sales experience preferred
  • Evidence of organizational skills and ability to manage time and prioritize workload effectively
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to perform tasks with limited instruction and supervision
  • Has an eye for fashion/design and keeps current with trends
