To grow and develop the Photography program in order to provide students access to high levels of instruction and achievement in the art of Photography. Instruct classes in photography.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Seek to role model in attitude, speech, and action a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ
  • Direct the development, evaluation, revision and alignment of photography instruction across all GCS Photography classes.
  • Organize and coordinate the development and execution of semi-annual Photography Showcase in conjunction with the semi-annual Art Showcase.
  • Work with the Fine Arts Director to have photography program progressing in the direction of the Fine Arts Department.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all photography equipment including but not limited to, backdrops, props, lighting equipment, etc.
  • Assist in creation of photography program classes and camps.
  • Keep students, parents/guardians, and faculty regularly apprised of the schedule, expectations, and opportunities for participation.
  • Instruct photography classes and camps.
  • Instruct 1 GCS Elective class per Quarter.
  • Instruct & advise GCS Yearbook course, including the planning and creation of GCS annual yearbook.
  • Take & organize all GCS Class Yearbook pictures, including CDC, Elementary, Upper School Students and Senior Portraits.
  • Take all seasonal athletic photos.
  • Take all Fine Arts production photos.
  • Take all CDC, TK & Senior Cap and Gown photos.
  • Plan and execute at least 4 “mini sessions” per year that could be marketed to those in and out of the GCS community.
  • Maintain a POS platform for GCS families to purchase images.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Fine Arts Director, Upper School Principal and Head of School.


  • Committed Christ-follower
  • 3+ years’ experience in photography
  • BA in related field preferred
  • Prior supervisory, administrative, or management experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and manage programs and budgets
  • Strong leadership, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
