Job Overview

GCS Transportation Route Van and Bus Drivers ensure the safe transportation of students to and from Grace Christian School.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Seek to role model in attitude, speech, and action a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ
  • Safely transport students to and from Grace Christian School and students’ assigned bus stop
  • Take necessary precautions to protect students and the assigned GCS vehicle
  • Understand and be able to implement all transportation emergency procedures (training provided)
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding students in order to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to maintain a professional environment
  • Monitor students for the purpose of maintaining a safe transportation environment


  • High school diploma or equivalent Be at least 25 years of age
  • Be in possession of a valid NC DMV driver’s license
  • Positions available for both CDL (bus endorsement) and Non-CDL drivers
  • Have a clean driving record for the past three years
  • Ability to work with children and students
  • Possess health, energy and willingness to perform efficiently
  • Relates to students, parents and staff in a positive manner
  • Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism
  • Committed Christ-follower
