I became a Christian educator because I love helping children learn and grow, and I believe that faith is an important part of that growth. Teaching in a Christian school gives me the opportunity to encourage students not only academically but also spiritually, helping them see God's love in their everyday lives. One of the biggest reasons this is so important to me is because I want to give children something I wasn't given. I was not raised in a Christian home, and I didn't truly understand how big God's love for me was until I was an adult. Looking back, I wish I had experienced that love and encouragement at a younger age. Knowing that has given me a passion for helping children build a strong foundation of faith, so they grow up knowing they are deeply loved, valued, and never alone. I want to create a place where every child feels safe, loved, and supported. Being a Christian educator allows me to combine my love for teaching with my faith. For me teaching is more than a job, it is an opportunity to serve others and to help children experience God's love in a way that I didn't until later in life.
What I think sets GCS apart is the strong foundation it has built and its consistency in living out its mission. There are clear expectations for both students and employees, creating an environment where everyone understands what is expected and feels supported. The positive reputation of the school also stands out. Current employees and parents consistently speak highly of the school environment, the administration, and the sense of community they experience. That speaks volumes about the culture that has been created.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of a school where I can share my love for teaching while helping children learn about God's love. It is a privilege to invest in students each day and be part of a school that is making a lasting difference in their lives. The positive environment, and clear values make it a place where I feel welcomed and excited to serve.
I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and that through him we are given grace, forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life. I believe that the Bible is God's word and that it guides us in how we live, love and serve others. My faith journey has been a very meaningful part of my life. I was not raised in a Christian home, and it was not until I was an adult that I truly began to understand how great God's love for me is. Looking back, I can see how God was working in my life even before I fully knew him. Through different seasons of my life, he continued to draw me closer to him and show me his faithfulness. Because of my own journey, I have a strong desire to help children know God's love from an early age. I want them to grow up understanding that they are valued, created with a purpose, and deeply loved. My faith shapes who I am as a person and as an educator. I believe that every child is uniquely created by God and deserves to be encouraged as they grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. I am thankful to continue to grow my relationship with Christ and to serve others through education. My hope is that my daily life and classroom time reflect God's love and that I can be a positive example of his grace and kindness to the students and families I serve.
